Just like almost all the teachers and students in America right now, I too have moved online to teach while we deal with the Corona Virus.
While I’m not a traditional teacher (I’m an ESE paraprofessional right now), I still try to teach as much as I can. Over the last two days I’ve made a few audio recording for the students to follow along with book we are reading in class. Today I took on a new task; A video (two really) to help the students understand a project packet that their Language Arts teacher gave them to complete.
We like to help the students any way we can. One of the biggest ways we help is we read the directions so the students understand clearly what they need to do. I like to have a ton of fun with this stuff and try to make it entertaining. The funny thing is the first video posted on here, I didn’t proof read the packet, so I’m reading it just as the students are.
This second video is actually the first one I made. The activity has to do with writing a Haiku. However the example she gave is not a 5/7/5 syllable count but a 3/4/5. I didn’t want the students confused and so I just figured, Let’s make a movie!!!
