Over the past few months, I have been working on implementation of an innovation plan into Hat Trick Training Academy that focuses on blending digital learning with traditional learning. The Sense Arena is a virtual reality system that ice hockey players use to continue to train and perfect their skills. Systems like SA allows coaches and trainers to manipulate a virtual environment that will allow players to practice set plays and scenarios multiple times without having to reset any on ice drills or obstacles.
Students at HTT will benefit from having a Sense Arena VR training session multiple times a week. Utilizing the 4DX plan and Action Research, players, staff and coaches will be able to follow and tract players improvement in several areas including read and reaction times that not only are relevant in ice hockey but in other sports and life skills.
