HTT Professional Learning Courses for Youth Ice Hockey Coaches
Throughout the process of creating an outline and time table professional learning platform it is apparent that this will be on going process that only has a starting date and no ending date in site. Hat Trick Training Academy, has now ventured out into the digital world with providing ongoing virtual PL training with highly regarded coaches as educational facilitators helping youth coaches understand the game more than their minimum requirements setup by their local/regional/national hockey councils.
The main focus with the PL is to have a plethora of courses that run from the very basics of ice hockey to the more advanced systems and game theories. Each course and section will be led by professional coaches as educators, facilitating an immersive, collaborative and engaging course. Each course will last no more than 30 minutes when covering the main topics and subject. The course will continue after the 30 minutes to group discussion and Q&A in a chat room and virtual calls. These post video meeting will last approximately 90 minutes to allow participants to ask their questions, get answers, go over strategies and discuss other theories.
HTT wants our students/learners/learning coaches to be able to ask questions to professionals and get the answers that they will need to be successful in their jobs and also prepare their players to be the very best they can be. With this idea and plan, HTT will bridge the gap between players who are on the ice 2 times a week with a great coach with knowledge of the game and those who are on the ice 4-5 times a week with an average coach.
