History of Ice Hockey and Game Theory
Welcome to History of Ice Hockey and Game Theory presented through Hat Trick Training Academy. This course is a required online course for all ice hockey students registered in HTT. In this course we will discuss the history of ice hockey, its importance to the world, its culture, game theory and how it has evolved over the last 120 years and what it might possibly look like in the future.
It is expected and required for you to attend our virtual meetings held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of every week at 9:30am with the link provided in the following email.
You will be required to complete the class work in the folders that are supplied on our Schoology website and submit them on time. Reading assignments will be unlocked for the entire course, however video assignments will be locked until the first meeting of the class during the week.
Assignments will be written and media based. They will need to be turned in via the Schoology website.
You are required to keep a video journal of everyday we meet and after you have finished the assignments. These will be kept in your folder and only shared with me.
Discussion Boards and Flipgrid
In this class you will be working with each other in a major project. You will also need to be able to discussion with your classmate’s different ideas and theories in the assignments. HTT has a dedicated Discussion Board and Flipgrid that is setup for you to communicate with your peers. It will be required for you to utilize both of these options in communication. At times the instructor will ask you answer questions in either one of these media platforms.
You will have a weekly folder labeled to what week we are currently on. Inside that folder there will be subfolders that are labeled Overview, Assignments, Assessments and Video Journal.
- Overview Folder – will contain the outline and weekly objective goals.
- Assignments Folder – will contain assignments and links to documents needed for the week.
- Assessments Folder – will contain assessments for the week that will be inline with the objective goals.
- Video Journal – will contain a link to a video journal that will have questions that you will need to answer on video.
